Role of the Parish Council - The Parish Council is made up of 10 elected members who serve a 4 year term. It is responsible for:

The Sports Field

The Play Area

The Allotments 

Bus shelters

Roadside benches

The Parish Newsletter

The Parish website

In addition, the Parish Council liaises with Central Bedfordshire Council on matters that are their responsibility such roads & footways. It is also usually invited to make comment on local planning proposals and other matters that might affect the lives and well-being of residents. It also liaises with the Police over any local police matters.


If you have a matter you wish to draw to the attention of the Parish Council, you can contact us via The Clerk (contact details at the bottom of the page), or attend a Parish Council meeting. If you wish to speak at a meeting please notify the Clerk, so that you may speak during the time allotted.

A meeting of the Parish Council will take place on Thursday 8th November 2018 at 7.30pm, the meeting room, Village Hall.

The council meets on the second Thursday of each month (except August)in the Village Hall at 7.30p.m  All meetings are open to the public.
